Enjoy a full-day Tour exploring the locations related to Mozart!
Learn about the different facades of Mozart and his talent. See about his talent and the most important stations of his life within and around the city of Salzburg.
During this tour, we will have a combined tour between a walking tour (can be also limited to a minimum, if requested) and driving tour to see the locations in the city and the countryside where mozart spent a lot of time, or also important places for Mozart. We will visit during the walking tour his birthplace to learn and see more about his childhood. We will see then the most important stations of his life. We will see where his parents are buried and how he influenced this town until nowadays. We will then see during our driving tour some of the most important stations of his life, including the drive to the lake district area whee we will see the village of St. Gilgen where his grandparents lived and seeing the museum there before we will drive back to the city of Salzburg, seeing the church of Maria Plain for which opening he composed another important piece. The drop off will be at a concert hall to enjoy then some life music of Mozart (ticket price is not included but the reservation).
This tour is available year around; however, during the different seasons we have different concerts and they are done in different ways (with dinner or without, or in historic locations). However a life performance is always the best to enjoy Mozart!
We offer the tour as described above; however we do focus on tailor-made tours so we can adapt the tour to your specific interest.
We will pick you up in one of our glass-roof vehicles for tour that will include:
Drive from Salzburg to the area of Hallein where you will see the museum of Silent night
Drive to the city of Oberndorf to the locations where Silent Night was firstly performed
Drive to the village of Arnsdorf, where Franz Xaver Gruber was a school teacher during the creation of this song
Attend a performance of Silent Night – holy night chapel in Oberndorf, on the location of the former church in which this wold famous Christmas song was firstly performed
Return to Salzburg where Joseph Mohr was born and has spent his childhood
Following the tour you will be returned to the pick-up location, unless you wish to be stopped off at another location in the Salzburg area.
